A good headcount is necessary so we can reserve an Arendsnest table.

It's been a while since we've done one of these at my house, and I'm in the mood for some barbecue as well. You know the routine - food, beverages, games (including but not limited to Dominoes, apparently). I'll be making pastrami.

Tired Hands Brewing in Ardmore worked out really well last time-- good beers, in pours of 4 ounces - Growler, homemade bread and butter, and good company. The Bulldog was selected for its excellent proximity to public transportation.

OCTOBER 10th, Tired Hands! Hello, Main Line! Well, Jessypie has been doing an amazing job organizing meetups in Philly, but I know I'm not the only one out here on the ol' R5. So I propose a meetup for the suburban amongst us! Ardmore can now boast of its own microbrewery, Tired Hands, which offers artisanal beer and cheeses and other nice things. Are other MeFis into these things? [more inside]

This was pulled together on the spur of the moment, apologies for the short notice. A couple of us will be getting together Saturday evening to start batches of homebrew beer, and thought, what the hell, throw it onto IRL to see who else might want to show up. Although beer-making will be going on, the overall theme of "beer" certainly includes those who enjoy drinking it even if they don't get into making it. I'll be smoking some meats; bring other food and beer and we'll hang out....it's just that simple, really.
It seems like time for another Denver meetup, now that winter (or "winter," this year) has really started to lose its charm. [more inside]
