March's meetup was a lot of fun! Let's do it again!
Confirmed for April 21. Frankford Hall as always.

Newcomers are very welcome. Bring games if you have them, but bring yourself even if you don't! We usually play Eurogame-type games and go from about 2-6 pm. Coming late/leaving early is never a problem.

I hereby boycott the last weekend in March because I'll most likely be out of town. I should be able to do pretty much whenever in April, but earlier is probably better.

And I also vote for more Cards Against Humanity. Because yes, I am a terrible person.

March is packed, but April 7th, 14th and 21st are all good for me.

My calendar is pretty open at the moment so whatever works for everyone else.

I would do it THIS WEEKEND.

Last weekend in March I'm out of town also, as well as the first and second weekends in April.

I totally forgot about mefi meetups when I pitched this board game meet up to the Philly reddit community.

You folks are more than welcome to come!

I can't do it the 16th/17th, or April 20, but any other weekend works.

What about Sunday, April 21? Nobody has mentioned a conflict for that one yet.

Hey lazaruslong, you just moved here and you're already out of town every single weekend?

I know, it's bad!

Sunday April 21 works for me!

I've confirmed this for April 21st, which is...a long time away, but the first weekend that lots of people seemed to have free. Get it on your calendars now!

There's a chance I won't make it (close to the end of the semester), but I'll try my best!

Never been to one of these here "meet-ups" before. I think I'll try to make it! I've got a decent collection of games; a couple recent favorites if anyone wants me to bring anything: Tzolk'in, Space Alert, Agricola, Set

I will THROW DOWN on some Set.
posted by lazaruslong at 10:40 PM on April 4, 2013

I'm not sure if I can make this or not, but a serious Set throw-down is tempting.

FYI, theres a science festival talk at 1pm @ frankford hall before the board gaming begins.
posted by TheAdamist at 8:08 PM on April 18, 2013

Oh's free and I can't find information about how long the talk is, so depending on the turnout and the length it could make it harder for us to get a table. I wonder if lectures on plasma TVs turn out to be more or less popular than visits from Santa?
posted by jessypie at 5:38 AM on April 19, 2013

Im going to try and make it to the talk, and then find the mefi folks to see about these games. Anyone else going to the talk?

I have to work. :(

Have fun!

I'm going to have to bow out. I'm further behind on a project due Monday than I expected to be. I was really looking forward to an extended study break (sigh).
posted by DoubleLune at 7:10 PM on April 20, 2013

I'm here an it looks like I'll be able to grab a table just as soon as a birthday party clears out.
posted by MikeKn at 10:44 AM on April 21, 2013

We're at the table immediately to the left of the entrance, near the inside bar.

Thanks again for making it out, everybody! It was great to see some new faces this month :)

Not sure who brought it, but is there a local store to buy cards against humanity?
posted by TheAdamist at 6:00 PM on April 21, 2013

That was me. I'm not sure if any local stores would stock it, but it looks like the latest printing is available direct from the developers through Amazon.
