Our May meetup will be Saturday the 11th. Bring your games, snacks and/or drinks. Please post in the thread what you're bringing so others can make sure they don't bring the same thing, and/or so they can drool over the thought of homemade cookies. March's board game meetup lasted 9 hours, and April's lasted 8, so feel free to come over even if you can't make it for the first hour or three.

So... the
last Toronto meetup at Snakes and Lattes went over well enough with calls to repeat that I thought we might celebrate S&L's considerable expansion/renovation by returning for round II. Does Friday April 26th suit people?

It has been WAY TOO LONG, let's go get drinks and possibly also put Shredder in his place again. Anyone up for another Barcade trip?

To state it simply, I'd only like to play games that I actually like at this session! If I have to learn yet another vampire game with a thousand rules, as always seems to happen when I attend games meetups, I'm gonna cry.

Update: Sounds like folks are up for trying to meet at the board games library area at 10. I'll try to keep this thread updated through the day with location info.
I know some people like to just wander the floor for a bit when they first get in so we can still aim to reconvene at noon.-----
PAXEast is March 22-24. Anyone else planning to go?
It hasn't always been the
most organized meet-up but I had a lot of fun with some mefites last year. If there's enough interest, I propose a meet-up on Saturday for boardgames or PC/console freeplay.

It's been a while since we've done one of these at my house, and I'm in the mood for some barbecue as well. You know the routine - food, beverages, games (including but not limited to Dominoes, apparently). I'll be making pastrami.

Our February meetup will be either on Saturday the 9th or Sunday the 10th. Bring your games, snacks and/or drinks. Please let me know if you're bringing a snack or a drink, so I can say, "Hey, we need more people to bring drinks!" or similar. December's board game meetup lasted 8 hours, and January's lasted 9, so feel free to come over even if you couldn't make it for the first hour or three.

The recent
Cards Against Humanity post on the blue got me thinking: anyone in Toronto and nearby up for a Snakes and Lattes meetup for some games (of CaH and/or others diversions)? I am going to pitch next Friday the 28th, but I am open to other suggestions for date. Who's in?

Let's try again, shall we? We have Pandemic, Ticket to Ride, Scrabble, and Risk, and I will probably buy Small World or Dominion before this comes around. We have three tables for playing games, and will provide a small amount of snacks. Bring snacks and drinks that you'd like to have. I propose that we do this on either Saturday, Dec. 1, or Sunday, Dec. 2. Once again, we'll start at 2pm.

I will be hosting card, word, board and strategy games in my home in Beacon Hill this Saturday. IMPORTANT: The address given here is of the VA hospital, which is very nearby my home (metafilter will not allow me to simply use cross-streets and I don't feel comfortable posting my address). Actual address will be memailed to those who RSVP.
Start time is 3 PM, and end time is whenever the last person leaves. Feel free to come whenever you want and leave whenever you want. Also feel free to bring games or come gameless. Libations and refreshments will be provided, though additional are also welcome.

I want to play board games with you fine people! I can host such an event on Sunday, Oct. 28th. We have Ticket to Ride, Scrabble, and Risk, and I've been looking for an excuse to buy Pandemic or Dominion. We can either use my place (we have three tables that could be used for playing games) or somewhere else.

restless_nomad is coming to town this weekend! The meetupening is tentatively set for
Liam Flynn's Ale House, shortly before 4 on Saturday. The bar is having a Gruit Ale (beer brewed without hops) contest at that time; possibly some of us will also bring light card games. Come on down!

I'm wondering if there is enough interest to have a non-RPG gaming session in one of the more southern neighborhoods of Seattle. I could host in my home in Beacon Hill (preferred), or at a public venue somewhere not incredibly far away, such as Georgetown, Capitol Hill, or Seward Park. Tuesday or Fridays work best for me (anytime), second choice would be Sunday late afternoon/evening, third choice would be Saturday. Saturdays that would work for me in the foreseeable future are October 20th and November 10th. Sundays that
wouldn't work are October 28th and November 4th.

The rain started today and may not stop for a month, let's head inside somewhere, drink, play games, and eat good food together! Anyone interested?

I think we all had a great time gaming and such last year -- let's do
it again! The full show map hasn't been released yet, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't a handheld lounge with beanbag chairs setup approximately where it was last year. (I'll post a comment with further details and a link to the map once it's available.) Let's plan to meet there on Saturday morning. We'll play it by ear afterwards -- maybe board games, maybe PC or console freeplay -- maybe both if we have more people than last year.

Like puzzles, ciphers and scavenger hunts?
DASH (Different Area, Same Hunt) is a fun group event taking place in multiple cities this weekend. We've reserved a team spot for Portland and would like 2-4 more people to join us for Saturday morning puzzle-y adventures.

At
PAX East, we should meet and do some gaming. Let's meet first thing on Saturday morning for a meet and greet and then some of us can play physical games and some can play video games and have a good time. We'll be meeting in the Handheld Lounge on Level 1 just after opening (10am) on Saturday morning.

It is in Ridgewood.
Here is a NYT article about it. I hope you can read it. It seems like getting together and trying out some of their games would be good.
