Our May meetup will be Saturday the 11th. Bring your games, snacks and/or drinks. Please post in the thread what you're bringing so others can make sure they don't bring the same thing, and/or so they can drool over the thought of homemade cookies. March's board game meetup lasted 9 hours, and April's lasted 8, so feel free to come over even if you can't make it for the first hour or three.

My drunken mumblings at MeFieri 2 revealed that I do burlesque, and I'm working on an act that will be at the
Slipper Room. I don't want to reveal much because I leave that for the stage, but I'm hoping it will be fun and amusing. And hey, the Slipper Room does good cocktails. The other acts are a little more deep and interesting than mine, but I'm trying to make them a surprise too. Also, boobies.

Let's try again, shall we? We have Pandemic, Ticket to Ride, Scrabble, and Risk, and I will probably buy Small World or Dominion before this comes around. We have three tables for playing games, and will provide a small amount of snacks. Bring snacks and drinks that you'd like to have. I propose that we do this on either Saturday, Dec. 1, or Sunday, Dec. 2. Once again, we'll start at 2pm.

I want to play board games with you fine people! I can host such an event on Sunday, Oct. 28th. We have Ticket to Ride, Scrabble, and Risk, and I've been looking for an excuse to buy Pandemic or Dominion. We can either use my place (we have three tables that could be used for playing games) or somewhere else.

I'll be leaving dear old Blighty and heading over the pond to New York from the 10th - 16th November, in advance of going to a friend's wedding the weekend after.
I decided to head out a week early in order to catch up with some old friends and spend some time wandering around the city again (I lived there for a while a few years back). It occurs though, that this presents an opportunity to maybe make some

my AskMe question, I will be floating around NYC from 9/2 through 9/4 with no firm plans on what to do. I will be staying in Brooklyn (Bushwick, wherever that may be) but I can go wherever the subway/train/bus will take me. Does anyone want to meet up for dinner or some other sort of hanging out?

Will Eisner New York exhibition at MoCCA? After some discussion, I figured Saturday, April 16 might be an auspicious date. I've been to the space before, and though the place isn't huge, this one looks fun. It's $5. Could do lunch before in Chinatown/SoHo also or just meet up at museum at 2:30.

Bowling! It will be fun, no need to be any good at bowling (I'm useless, so you will probably be better than me).
Let me know if you're in, so I have an idea of numbers. After bowling there will no doubt be food and drink somewhere nearby.
(The map is not entirely accurate, but putting in the correct address somehow screws up Google Maps and brings up a location on the East River.)

Hi. I'd like to invite all New-york-based Mefites to see my play, "The Weir," by Conor McPherson.
Oct 14th through Nov 6th.
I directed it and Mefite
Evangeline is acting in it. It's a great Halloween play, full of spooky stories. And it won the Olivier Award in 1999.

The meetup sidebar has been exploding all over the place, but it's basically dried up here in NYC. We missed the entire month of September. This must be rectified. I propose we meet up at a bar somewhere on the weekend of Oct. 15-17.
