Surely there are more than a few board gaming, card dealing, and role playing MeFites out there. Let's organize a meetup for mid-May. The afternoon of Sunday May 19th. The location is set to Mountain View but we can change that easily.
If you are interested hop in the thread. If you don't like the date/time give suggestions for alternatives.
Location will vary depending on the number of people. For groups < 12 I can host at my house in South Bay. If we grow larger we'll find a venue. I have access to some largish areas for up to 30 players.
Games to play can be sorted out later.

Our May meetup will be Saturday the 11th. Bring your games, snacks and/or drinks. Please post in the thread what you're bringing so others can make sure they don't bring the same thing, and/or so they can drool over the thought of homemade cookies. March's board game meetup lasted 9 hours, and April's lasted 8, so feel free to come over even if you can't make it for the first hour or three.

To state it simply, I'd only like to play games that I actually like at this session! If I have to learn yet another vampire game with a thousand rules, as always seems to happen when I attend games meetups, I'm gonna cry.

Our February meetup will be either on Saturday the 9th or Sunday the 10th. Bring your games, snacks and/or drinks. Please let me know if you're bringing a snack or a drink, so I can say, "Hey, we need more people to bring drinks!" or similar. December's board game meetup lasted 8 hours, and January's lasted 9, so feel free to come over even if you couldn't make it for the first hour or three.

Let's try again, shall we? We have Pandemic, Ticket to Ride, Scrabble, and Risk, and I will probably buy Small World or Dominion before this comes around. We have three tables for playing games, and will provide a small amount of snacks. Bring snacks and drinks that you'd like to have. I propose that we do this on either Saturday, Dec. 1, or Sunday, Dec. 2. Once again, we'll start at 2pm.

I will be hosting card, word, board and strategy games in my home in Beacon Hill this Saturday. IMPORTANT: The address given here is of the VA hospital, which is very nearby my home (metafilter will not allow me to simply use cross-streets and I don't feel comfortable posting my address). Actual address will be memailed to those who RSVP.
Start time is 3 PM, and end time is whenever the last person leaves. Feel free to come whenever you want and leave whenever you want. Also feel free to bring games or come gameless. Libations and refreshments will be provided, though additional are also welcome.

I want to play board games with you fine people! I can host such an event on Sunday, Oct. 28th. We have Ticket to Ride, Scrabble, and Risk, and I've been looking for an excuse to buy Pandemic or Dominion. We can either use my place (we have three tables that could be used for playing games) or somewhere else.

Let's see what Monday brings, but it's as likely as not that this meetup will be postpwned by the storm.
The meetup in September was fun. Let's do it again! The Windup Space has a regular
board game night on the last Tuesday of the month. Leave a note if you think you can make it.

I'm wondering if there is enough interest to have a non-RPG gaming session in one of the more southern neighborhoods of Seattle. I could host in my home in Beacon Hill (preferred), or at a public venue somewhere not incredibly far away, such as Georgetown, Capitol Hill, or Seward Park. Tuesday or Fridays work best for me (anytime), second choice would be Sunday late afternoon/evening, third choice would be Saturday. Saturdays that would work for me in the foreseeable future are October 20th and November 10th. Sundays that
wouldn't work are October 28th and November 4th.

I am having a vegan taste-a-thon at this weekend's Montreal Geek Out! around 3 pm. It would be nice if you came by, said hi to me or Shepherd (he's way more prolific on the board than I am) and had yourself a tasty treat. If you like what you see at the Geek Out!, stick around for a board game or two!

In order to survive the cold damp winters of Portland, I suggest we try to coordinate a midweek game night somewhere around town.

How about a "rolling" meetup to play board, card and role-playing games in the ginormous gaming room at Dragon*Con?
