Cards at the Cambridge Public Library
The last card-game meetup went well, so let's have another one. Let's meet at the library next Sunday, May 1st, at 1:00. That time and venue are flexible: If people would prefer a different time or place, I'll change it.
Card games at the Cambridge Library
Does anyone in the Boston area want to meet up and play cards? I'm open to any games less complicated than Bridge and more interesting than War. I don't know any great venues for card-playing off the top of head, but I'm sure we can think of something. Even if you don't know any games yourself, you're welcome to come: For my part, I'll bring one of those big books of card games. EDIT: Let's meet at the Cambridge Public Library at 1:00 this Sunday, April 17th! If not enough people can make that time, date, or place, then all of those things are flexible.
Cribbage, music, cocktails
Hi all –
Moving back to NYC after many of my friends left/had kids/etc wasn't a positive thing for my social life. Same goes for being self-employed and working from home. Who wants to play some cribbage, put some records on, and have a drink? [more inside]
Board Games on Veteran's Day
I will be hosting a Games Day in my home on Wednesday, November 11th. This is Veteran's Day and is a holiday for federal workers. Start time is 11 AM, but people come and leave as they please, and since we tend to play shorter games it's easy to work in if you come after the start time. [more inside]
Card, Board, and Strategy Games in Frederick, MD
I will be hosting a Games Day in my home on Sunday, June 14th, from 3 PM until the last person leaves (which will likely be at least midnight). Games on hand include Tichu, Poker, Ticket to Ride, Blokus, Pegs and Jokers, Scrabble, Boggle, etc. People are welcome to bring their own games as well. We tend to split up into groups if there are enough people. Current expected attendee count is 6-8 but I would love a few more and I'd love to meet one or more Mefites in person. [more inside]
Shall we play a game(haus)?
I had a great time at the last Game Night, but the only problem is we all had so much to talk about we never got around to the game part before it was time to go! [more inside]
Cambridge is kicking our ass, Portland. We need more meetups.
I was thinking we should have a game day/evening here in Portland again. Any suggestions for days/times/locales?
Just cards, like that one time that devolved into cards against humanity?
Board games? Which also usually devolves into cards against humanity.
How do we feel about just playing cards against humanity, or do we not want to do that at all? [more inside]
All I Wanna Do Is Play Cards
Anyone in or near Toronto wanna play some NLHE? Something like $1/$2 or $1/$0.50 or even $1/$1?
I can host at my place, and I have the cards and chips, just not the poker playing friends since I left the Philadelphia/AC area.
Cards and/or Board Games in West Seattle
To state it simply, I'd only like to play games that I actually like at this session! If I have to learn yet another vampire game with a thousand rules, as always seems to happen when I attend games meetups, I'm gonna cry. [more inside]
Non-RPG games in Beacon Hill, Seattle
I will be hosting card, word, board and strategy games in my home in Beacon Hill this Saturday. IMPORTANT: The address given here is of the VA hospital, which is very nearby my home (metafilter will not allow me to simply use cross-streets and I don't feel comfortable posting my address). Actual address will be memailed to those who RSVP.
Start time is 3 PM, and end time is whenever the last person leaves. Feel free to come whenever you want and leave whenever you want. Also feel free to bring games or come gameless. Libations and refreshments will be provided, though additional are also welcome. [more inside]
non-RPG games in southish Seattle
I'm wondering if there is enough interest to have a non-RPG gaming session in one of the more southern neighborhoods of Seattle. I could host in my home in Beacon Hill (preferred), or at a public venue somewhere not incredibly far away, such as Georgetown, Capitol Hill, or Seward Park. Tuesday or Fridays work best for me (anytime), second choice would be Sunday late afternoon/evening, third choice would be Saturday. Saturdays that would work for me in the foreseeable future are October 20th and November 10th. Sundays that wouldn't work are October 28th and November 4th. [more inside]
