Sat November 4 at 1:00 PM, Sibrax's House
6270 SW Madhatter Ln, Beaverton, OR, USA (Map & Directions)
Come join us for our semi-regular day of board games and snacks! We have dozens of games to choose from of all kinds, and new people are always welcome.
Some recent additions to our collection include Mysterium, Flamme Rouge, and the new Jackbox Party Pack.

We'll work out food once we get a rough head count. Hope to see you there!

Can I just bring some shareable snacks and hang out?

I totally think you should do that!

I will try to convince O. Bender to come after we hit up the Verboort Sausage Festival so might be a bit later than 1pm.

Of course! Hanging out is also great!

Ayyyyy, games and/or hangin'! Saturday's a little better for me but both are totally doable.

(I already had this as Confirmed but I took out the Sunday option to avoid confusion.)

Can't come, I think I'm running a playtest that day.

Oh the irony, fiercekitten. I'm happy to know you're out there doing it, though!

I don't know why but I wasn't expecting as much organizing when we started this whole thing.

It's been a while since I've been up to Portland. If you all don't mind an interloper from Corvallis, I'd be happy to show up and bring some medium weight games. Recent additions to my collection include Captain Sonar, Century: Spice Road and Concordia.

That'd be great! We do have Captain Sonar already, so no need to pack that.

The plan at the moment is to have bagels and a few other things for the midday snack, and for anyone who wants to stay for dinner, stuffed shells with (optional) meatballs.

People are encouraged to bring their favorite beverage, but if you'd like to bring extra food, we'll probably ask you to take your leftovers home with you. At the end of game day our fridge is usually ready to burst. :-)

See you all Saturday!

Thanks, that was a lot of fun! All the food and company was great. pwnguin, thanks for making the long trip up, it's always nice to see you.

Spiced Applesauce Cake recipe. Things we did different- eyeballed the measurement of the applesauce, used a round springform pan (turns out I don't have a square pan), and left off the cream cheese frosting, which also sounds amazing. Instead, we brushed something left over from another recipe on top- it was essentially an apple simple syrup or a sweet apple juice- and sprinkled some turbinado sugar on top.

aniola and sibilatorix's new cookbook Chocolatology, which includes recipes by at least three mefites, not counting themselves. Unfortunately not out until after the holidays? But maybe available at the meetup today.

Incredible Doom Comic by mefites churl and Matt Bogart, on Mefi, Website. Free to read online, or you can buy the cute little print versions. If you click "watch the film" I think you'll see a variety of people saying stuff about the internet on camera, including cortex, wax pancake, and briefly me.
