Post Thanksgiving Weekly Meetup
This is for the week after Thanksgiving, either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. I'm being democratic here, which is an experiment with these sorts of things. Well, except for the neighborhood.
Back to the LES because life is beautiful, the bars are beautiful and even the drinks are beautiful. We've been to Local 138 and the Magician and while I would be completely happy going back to either (especially the Magician), I was wondering if anyone had any other bars in that neighborhood they were fond of and wanted to hit. Dim Sum - Manhattan redux edition
Have we not had an NYC dim sum meetup since February 2012?! This shall not stand. Chinatown's The Golden Unicorn has been conducive to good meetups before, but, would people like to try Pacificana in Brooklyn's Chinatown for a change? I went there once with family and thought the dim sum was more varied than Golden Unicorn's, but the wait time for a table can be long. -- EDIT - Manhattan wins this round, for Saturday 11/9 at 11am.

Performance Art Burlesque Showcase!
My drunken mumblings at MeFieri 2 revealed that I do burlesque, and I'm working on an act that will be at the Slipper Room. I don't want to reveal much because I leave that for the stage, but I'm hoping it will be fun and amusing. And hey, the Slipper Room does good cocktails. The other acts are a little more deep and interesting than mine, but I'm trying to make them a surprise too. Also, boobies. [more inside]
Drinks in NYC to entertain a visiting Canadian Contingent?

Board Games in Brooklyn! (Now with less Hurricane)

We have three tables for playing games, and will provide a small amount of snacks. Bring snacks and drinks that you'd like to have. I propose that we do this on either Saturday, Dec. 1, or Sunday, Dec. 2. Once again, we'll start at 2pm. [more inside]

Thanksgiving! A! Pageant!
A ridiculously silly show in the style of your standard elementary school Thanksgiving Pageant, but will all the smallpox and religious intolerance added back in, plus really stupid jokes. Like, I mean, e.g. Miles Standish is never clearly standing or sitting. So. There's that. November 20-23! [more inside]

Drinks in New York
I'll be leaving dear old Blighty and heading over the pond to New York from the 10th - 16th November, in advance of going to a friend's wedding the weekend after.
I decided to head out a week early in order to catch up with some old friends and spend some time wandering around the city again (I lived there for a while a few years back). It occurs though, that this presents an opportunity to maybe make some new friends as well.
So what about it New York MeFites - fancy meeting up for a few drinks one night?

Is it really a hell of a town?
Thanks to the answers to my AskMe question, I will be floating around NYC from 9/2 through 9/4 with no firm plans on what to do. I will be staying in Brooklyn (Bushwick, wherever that may be) but I can go wherever the subway/train/bus will take me. Does anyone want to meet up for dinner or some other sort of hanging out?
