I am all about this one any day here and would love to meet some Brighton mefites. From 6 works for me.

At the moment I'm free any of these Tuesdays.
So, dependant on Southern Trains I'm a definite maybe!

Woo! I was just thinking about another MeFi IRL the other day. Tuesdays are definitely good for me. 10th or 17th would be fine, 3rd or 24th are iffy. I'll be trick or treating on the 31st.

10 or 17th work well for me and t'hb. It will be very good to see various Brighton and associated Mefis again!

Weird, I thought I'd commented in this. I don't wanna commit at this time cuz with house sale & move my plate is quite full. Will keep an eye on the date tho and may turn up. Is likely to be my last one after all...

The 17th is right around a big work deadline. If I'm lucky I'll have just done the big scary thing. If I'm unlucky I'll still be doing it. So I guess I'll wait till closer to the time and see?

Oh hey. I've unearthed my "I [+] Metafilter" t-shirt in MeTa grey, "classic girl" size 2XL, which no longer fits me (American Apparel, so XL normal size?). It's not in any way fitted so would suit a man, too. I'd donate it as a prize for winning a game or whatever you wish.

Should be at the venue for around 6:45 tomorrow - will try get the same table as last time (assuming they haven't rearranged the place again!) at the back, to the left of the bar (as you approach it.)

I'll be there for 6:30, plus or minus 15 mins. Will bring a few uncomplicated card games.

EndsOfInvention - excellent. I have avoided a meeting that often runs late today so I should now be able to appear by 18:30ish

Heading over now. See y'all in a bit.

I'm here with halcyonday and her +1, we're towards the back with a white carrier bag on the table.

Massively annoyingly myself and TheGarden are stuck in London later than expected and now can't realistically get down. Hope you're having a good time though.

Ah that sucks, sorry you can't make it. Next time!

Aww, alas! Next time, hopefully!

I'm still at work, and will be for probably another three or four hours realistically. So getting a train to Brighton is looking depressingly unlikely.
Have fun, I'll try and join you next time.

Sorry you also couldn't make it, Just This Guy. Hopefully next time the London crew can make it down.

For halcyonday and her other half: the 2-player-only games I play the most with my wife are Jaipur, Agricola: All Creatures Big & Small*, and Patchwork. These are all pretty compact games. In bigger boxes are Ticket To Ride: Nordic Countries (a version of Ticket to Ride designed for 2-3 players) and Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective (awesome co-op detective game that I think Shut Up & Sit Down described as the best ever game for couples).

*(this is a mini version of the much bigger original Agricola)

Ooh, thanks, EoI! I suspect something from this will end up in the Christmas present pile this year. :D
