Sat May 13 at 2:00 PM, Blue Shirt Cafe
424 Highland Ave, Somerville, MA, USA (Map & Directions)
As we do every other weekend, let's meet at the Blue Shirt Cafe in Davis Square at 2:00 to play board games. This time, let's meet on Saturday, May 13th, rather than Sunday the 14th, since that Sunday is Mother's Day. As always, bring any games you'd like and make requests in the thread.
I plan to bring Cosmic Encounter, Citadels, Condottiere, and maybe Chinatown. Let me know if there's anything you've seen that you've wanted to play for a while, though.

I'll be sitting this one out, which makes it the perfect occasion to give Rustic Etruscan his Cosmic Encounter fix, since I'm the one who cruelly votes against it each time. Hope to catch the next one after this!

It's convenient that this has moved to the 13th, since I'll be out of town for the week after, flying out on Sunday.

I'll likely be able to make it to this, but I'm leaving myself as "maybe" until I'm sure. If I am there, I'd be up for playing any of the games you mentioned (I've only played Citadels, and I'm interested in the others).

Hey, it's okay! If, at some future meetup, you do end up stuck in a game of Cosmic Encounter, we'll play without flares. The first version of the game I learned didn't use them, and I think they add more complexity than they're worth to new players.

Bummer. Sorry we'll miss you. Next time!

I'm looking forward to this. I'll likely bring along a few games just for the sake of possible variety, but as I said before, I'm interested in any/all of the C games mentioned (though Citadels won't be so great if it's just the three of us).

I could shake things up alphabetically and bring along my two favorite "B" games: Boss Monster and Bill and Ted's Excellent Board Game. Both are very light and silly.

Now I want to reconsider the games I may bring and see what I have that starts with "D" and is good.

I probably won't bring Chinatown, because a four- or five-player game probably better fits the rules' freewheeling style. Cosmic and Citadels can work with three.

I got out the door late, but I'm on my way.

I'm running a little late because I forgot about transit stuff this weekend, but I'm fairly close now.
