Hi Mefi! I will be in New York at the beginning of June, staying in Chelsea, anyone fancy a meetup after work/early evening Monday 9th June? I have literally no idea for venues so suggestions are very welcome!

State some preferences! Saying "somewhere to meet" in NYC is like saying "buy me some food" from a supermarket. I'm not joking; within 0.6 mile walk of 23/9 st (center of chelsea) there are >700 bars and restaurants.

Food? Drinks? Type of food/Drinks you like/don't like? Price? Swanky/Casual?

Drinks, not too expensive (I live in Paris so the price ranges shouldn't be too different), casual.

The Trailer Park Lounge is on 23rd between 7th and 8th and serves sloppy joes and tater tots.

But didn't we choose Trailer Park because it has food? I'd rather just get there earlier than go to Chelsea Market for food and Trailer Park just for the champagne-in-a-can. (Though I do think we need to do a Chelsea Market meetup at some point, I'd never heard of it before the recent IRL mentions and it does sound interesting)

I hate cancelling at the last minute. I'm really, really sorry about this. My son broke a finger yesterday afternoon (he'll be okay) and we just booked him an appt with a specialist out on Long Island this evening. Am going to need to leave work early and race out there to take him. :(

I'm at Trailer Park now - not super-crowded, but I don't see many empty tables together, so we may need to hover at the bar for a bit.
