I'm interested in planning a meet up where people can chit chat and get to know each other. I've never been to a meet up so I don't really know how these things go. I would say we could go to a chill bar as long as they have non alcoholic drinks. If anyone has other ideas, those would be great too. Proposed time: early evening, in a week or so. Does anyone have preferences for time and day?
I'd say that chatting and getting to know each other is pretty much how meetups usually go! No experience required. Hope to be able to attend. Early-ish (6:30-7?) on a weekday is usually best for me.

I could do LES on a weekday after 6, preferably a Tuesday or Thursday.

If we're doing something on Thursday through Saturday, I'm wide open. I'd like to go if I can make time.

I'm moving from Brooklyn to Manhattan this weekend, so early to mid evening on a weekday is probably best, although the coming week will most likely be unpacking and more unpacking.

We recently had a nice meetup at Clandestino, on Canal St (thanks, 1970s Antihero!), if you'd like to go the tried and true route. I think it's a good choice since it's not very loud or divey, though I'm always happy to try new places if anyone has suggestions.

Oh yeah, as you may've gathered since you chose 7 as your starting time, Clandestino does not open til then so people should not show up early!

Sounds great, see you all there. (I didn't mean you made a mistake, btw, starlybri, sorry if it sounded that way! I just want to make sure that people don't show up even before the start time, which I know I am guilty of on occasion as an overly punctual person. :) )

Been a while since I made it to a Clandestino meetup, but if I do make it I will most likely be early and in search of food. Anyone have a recommendation? (The website is still active for El Aripo Cafe, but the Yelp page says it's closed)

Shoot, I won't be able to make it after all - got a furniture delivery yesterday, but wasn't able to schedule the giveaway of the old sofa in the same day, gotta get home tonight for it.

I just sprained my ankle pretty badly, so unless a miracle happens I won't be able to come. I'm so sorry, I was really looking forward to meeting you all! But have fun without me, I'll try to make another meetup before the end of July if someone else doesn't. Tell me how it goes!
