Meetup: Wednesday Night at the MFA (free!)
When MeFites view art, is it a MeFart?
Well! Let me recalibrate the taste-level of this IRL post by cordially inviting you all to meet up at the Museum of Fine Arts on Wednesday evening, October 16, at 7PM (free admission, donations accepted). Let's gather at the Taste Café in the Linde Family Wing for Contemporary Art, Level 1, at 7PM, wait about 10-15 minutes for people to show up, and then meander from there. The MFA's open until 10PM, but don't feel like you have to wander around for three hours. [more inside]

Apropos of the ice cream meetup suggestion, let's meet up for ice cream on Thursday, July 19 at 6:30 PM at the JP Licks on Boylston off of Mass Ave! If the mood strikes, we can head up Newbury Street and sample other ice cream on offer.
This will be a weeknight event in Boston proper, counterpart to the Cambridge Weekend Ice Cream Crawl!

Geeks Who Drink is bringing Geek Bowl to Boston this year, and it's time for the Taters to show the world what they know! Performance: Meetup--Proposed: Boston, MA Busking and beer

Update: Sounds like folks are up for trying to meet at the board games library area at 10. I'll try to keep this thread updated through the day with location info.
I know some people like to just wander the floor for a bit when they first get in so we can still aim to reconvene at noon.-----
PAXEast is March 22-24. Anyone else planning to go?
It hasn't always been the most organized meet-up but I had a lot of fun with some mefites last year. If there's enough interest, I propose a meet-up on Saturday for boardgames or PC/console freeplay. [more inside]

I think we all had a great time gaming and such last year -- let's do it again! The full show map hasn't been released yet, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't a handheld lounge with beanbag chairs setup approximately where it was last year. Meetup: PAX East after-hours meetup
We'll be meeting for drinks at Murphy's Law, of Gone Baby Gone fame. It's not the closest bar to BCEC, but it's a short easy walk, and hopefully that means it won't be too busy. This'll be Saturday night, overlapping some of the late Saturday events (JoCo and Omegathon round 3, in particular), but there's not a lot of drinking time that doesn't overlap, so there's really no choice.
