We haven't had a PDX-area meetup in a few months. I think we should remedy that. [more inside]

Hoyland is still coming to town, but there wasn't a sudden upswell of people for the BBQ idea, so that's pretty much dead now. Flapjax has suggested Koenji, but that's a bit far for me, personally (although I'm sure it'll be an awesome show). Other than that, I don't know. There's various and sundry drinking establishments in Tokyo, and as mentioned, I'm partial to Yurakucho area, though reservations might be a good idea on a Saturday night. Any ideas?
turtlegirl and I are having our annual bash on 18 August this year and wanted to extend an invite to MeFites who may be interested. [more inside]
This was pulled together on the spur of the moment, apologies for the short notice. A couple of us will be getting together Saturday evening to start batches of homebrew beer, and thought, what the hell, throw it onto IRL to see who else might want to show up. Although beer-making will be going on, the overall theme of "beer" certainly includes those who enjoy drinking it even if they don't get into making it. I'll be smoking some meats; bring other food and beer and we'll hang out....it's just that simple, really.
I'm bringing my little family to Houston for a visit on the weekend of September 16-18 and I wanted to see if a few folks want to get together for dinner that Sunday evening (September 18th). [more inside]

Who feels like going out to Flushing for a meat buffet? [more inside]
With the weather beginning to cool down I was wondering if anyone wanted to head out to Flushing and grill some meat at Picnic Garden? While lunch is the cheapest, I've heard that week day dinner has a better selection for price. So thinking some time in September. How's it sound?
Can we meet up at a park on a weekend afternoon,
