We haven't had a PDX-area meetup in a few months. I think we should remedy that. [more inside]
Come hang out with ocherdraco at 4th Avenue Pub on March 20th! She will be in town for the day and would love to see some Mefites. I can also bring some board games if there's any interest. [more inside]
The recent weather here in the Triangle has me wanting to get out of the house more and get to know some of my fellow local MeFites better. Would people be interested in going to a trivia night somewhere? I hear the Wednesday night Bull McCabes trivia is good, though I haven't been before. [more inside]
A free beer for every correctly spelled word! [more inside]
Me and internet fraud detective squad, station number 9 will be visiting Chicago soon and would love to meet some Chicago Mefites -- evening August 8 is probably the best for us. Can you suggest a meetup location? [more inside]
For those who want a weeknight option instead of/in addition to all the weekend meetups we've been having lately.
They've got a variety of draft beers, and a menu of both meat and vegan sausages and sides. Fries and pretzel sticks also good for nomming. Edit: Accidentally posted this for Thursday when I meant to do Wednesday. Fixed now!
Beers and conversation (but not too loud!) at our monthly Manhattan stop on the weekly-meetup tour.
Sorry for the late post! I hope to see y'all Thursday evening.
It's back to my neck of the woods this week, as I'm recovering from a pretty gnarly back injury, and I'm trying to keep my travel to a minimum. (Next week we'll venture forth again!)
To quote 1970s Antihero: "Let's meet up and drink beers. Because we're adults and we can."
Edit: We have moved to Perdition, since the Three Monkeys was a madhouse. As suggested by hactar, we're going to try The Three Monkeys in Midtown. Start time this week is 7pm. And as far as I can tell from their website, there will be no terrible open mics.
Edit: We are decamping to one stop beer shop on Kingsland to avoid the open mic here at Boulevard. One more in my new neighborhood before I acquiesce and choose a Manhattan location for next week. I'm setting the starting time for this one at 7, since I'll be coming from work, but I can change it to 6:30pm if others want to start without me.
As discussed at the Keg & Lantern meetup: I'm resurrecting the weekly meetup. This time, it's on Wednesday.
Is there any interest in a Shreveport-Bossier City meetup before Mardi Gras? I am new to the city and I would like to meet some people. [more inside]

Proposed meetup did not appear to happen on Tuesday and it's not looking likely for today (Wednesday) so I hereby declare it for Thursday. [more inside]
A couple weeks ago at a meetup, I mentioned the Pickle Shack, a new bar that is a collaboration between Dogfish Head and Brooklyn Brine. It seemed like there's some interest in checking it out. [more inside]
Hey all, I'm gonna be in DC for a work conference December 3-7, and I'd be interested in meeting a few of y'all. Maybe the afternoon or evening of Friday December 6? [more inside]
Whether you made it to the MetaFilter Mt. Hood camping trip or not, how about we all meet up the week after? Victory Bar, 7.30 pm on Saturday, September 21st. [more inside]
Was thinking about proposing a meetup at Supercollider and just saw that Bar Scrawl (previously featured on the blue) did a neat writeup of it. Like Bill Roundy, I got the black hole to drink and it was tasty! They have a happy hour ('til 7, I think) and a cool little rooftop space. (If this date ain't no good, let me know and I will change it--any day next week is cool.)
Commonwealth has $4 beers till 7 o'clock. The sun goes down at 8. There is free popcorn and a "cute backdoor area as well" (Yelp).
After the success of the Fieri meetup, plus the middling quality of its food, there has been talk of a Fieri-themed potluck, in which we out-Fieri the Fieri. For this, newpotato has graciously suggested that we might use her bar, Rivington 151. [more inside]
I moved up to Greenpoint a few weeks ago, and was really eager to explore my new neighborhood, preferably in the company of a few MeFites. So, I decided to hold a meetup there. NOTE: this will also be the weekly Brooklyn meetup this week. [more inside]
People of Louisville: Come meet MetaFilter's griphus and blisterlips (also one another maybe) at Ramsi's! [more inside]
Let's meet up at the 1-Up and play some old school video games. At least, the ones that aren't out of order...19th and Blake St. [more inside]
