ChuraChura is returning from her research trip abroad and we're meeting to hear about her tales of daring-do while off studying our monkey cousins. We're meeting at La Patrona on High Street, on September 3rd at 7pm. Please join us and find out what having malaria, and living among small non-human primates, is really like! [more inside]
I'm thinking about making the drive from Columbus, OH to this event in July. I've never been to one of these events before so I have no idea as to its quality - any feedback is welcome. I'd be by myself and I'd love to either carpool or meet up with some folks upon arrival. Oh! Info can be found at http://www.socialismconference.org/ Thanks!
Hey Columbus! The family is leaving this weekend and I'm alone Friday and Saturday night. Anyone available for a something? [more inside]
All the other Ohio Cities are doing it - Columbus, let us gather! Local Cantina in Clintonville, Thursday January 22 at 7:00!
Looks like I get to go to Origins Game Fair (June 11-15, Columbus, Ohio) this year and was wondering whether anyone else was either going or lived in central Ohio and wanted to hang out in between game geekery.
CBUS and other Ohio residents: as of early June, I'll have left for a year in the rain forest where I will likely be without internet access. It'd be fun to see you all again before I disappear! Want to grab food some weeknight in May? I was going to suggest Blue Nile, but that has apparently closed. We could try for another North Market late afternoon, or maybe the Jury Room? Or something else entirely? (I see, for example, that Dirty Frank's has the best karaoke in Columbus...)
Mefites of the greater C-bus area, it has been a while since we've tried to get together and nearly a year since we won free pints for the 'Friends of Matthowie'; lets give it another shot in a couple of weeks. [more inside]
It's late enough in the season that I can tell a Crew game probably won't be worth $25 - let's get some food and beverages at the Blue Danube! [more inside]
Trivia night!! [more inside]
Let's go eat Somali food at Solay Bistro! Sept. 15 at 7:30. Optional ice cream to follow. Note: the address on the map is not right, but it's close to the intersection of 161 and Cleveland Ave, apparently. [more inside]
