Thu July 2 at 8:00 AM, Hyatt Regency McCormick Place
2233 South Doctor Martin Luther King Junior Drive, Chicago, IL, USA (Map & Directions)
I'm thinking about making the drive from Columbus, OH to this event in July. I've never been to one of these events before so I have no idea as to its quality - any feedback is welcome. I'd be by myself and I'd love to either carpool or meet up with some folks upon arrival. Oh! Info can be found at http://www.socialismconference.org/ Thanks!

There's a pretty good chance we'll be having a meetup during this date range in Winnemac Park (5101 N Leavitt St
Chicago, IL 60625) for picnicking, kubb, and fireworks.

Yes! We will absolutely be having the annual Let's Watch People Blow Shit Up picnic. This year we will also have kubb!

And garlic already said kubb, but you can really never have too much kubb.

Good to know! I'll keep a lookout for it. Thanks!

I went to a previous ISO Socialism conference. I would recommend going to one. Talks from previous conferences are archived here. The talks are generally informative and there's a good selection of radical literature there as well. All of the chanting can get annoying, though (you'll see what I mean). Part of the reason for having these conferences is to recruit people, so don't be surprised if ISO members enquire about your interest in joining their party.
