Dirksen Federal Bldg, 219 S Dearborn St, Chicago, IL, USA (Map & Directions)
The Nationwide Solidarity March For Peace falls on October's 2nd Saturday and I know some intrepid Second Saturday-ers were interested. Shall we go together? Meet afterwards for drinks and debrief? I suggest we meet at 11:30 near the Dunkin' Donuts, SE of Federal Plaza. The march details are the event details. The rest is in the comments.

I would like to do something but would unfortunately not be able to walk/march/ambulate/etc.

I'm not planning on going to the Long Room in the morning but will be at the protest.

The march is still scheduled to start at noon and break up around 3 (although there's a fair amount of confusion on the Facebooks) I'm not really available post march any more but shall we say 4:00 at Long Room for those who are?

The ink is not even dry on my comment and now I'm looking at this:
the Handmaids will stage a silent protest at the Federal Plaza on Saturday, October 14 at 12:00PM in support of reproductive justice for all women.
The ink isn't even dry on HB 40 which protects a women's right to choose in Illinois and anti-choice legislators have introduced HB 4108 which would repeal it.
Congress passed H.R. 36, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act legislation that would criminalize abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
The Trump administration continues it's assault on women's health care by issuing new rules that weaken ObamaCare’s birth control mandate.
There is no choice where there is no access.
Of the two, I would be more inclined to support this. When I have more information, I'll share.

So the Handmaids say they are aware of the Peace March and there's no conflict between the events. However, I am mostly likely going to remain with the Handmaid's Vigil and then disperse.

Forecast is for rain and more rain.
I'm definitely not doing a protest today.
I'm willing to stop by longroom if there is a group of us.
