Chicago Critical Mass is a pretty divisive thing. I kind of love it, but can almost never go (because of work, but that is changing).
At any rate - HALLOWEEN MASS. I will be going, and so will Baxter_ilion. In costumes. And decorated bikes.

CM is 90% awesome and costumes push it into 120% awesomeness.
I'm actually posting here to ask if anyone knows any Chicago bike people that build custom bikes (like the "rat bikes" or tall bikes, maybe), especially ones that'd be willing to barter for their work. I haven't ridden a bike since getting a leg brace almost a decade ago and it makes me sad, as well as making me over-dependent on public transport. It probably wouldn't be too hard to modify something for me, but this is an area I have no expertise in. Just putting a bug in your collective ear...

Me and baxter_ilion will be getting ready and whatnot in River North and then heading down.

So what time would everyone want to meet up? I'll be in River North after 430 or so. Me and baxter_ilion will have to get our costumes on - but after 5 should be good for me.
