Date Change On Account of Predicted Weather! Now Thursday, July 19 at 6:30 PM! Apropos of the ice cream meetup suggestion, let's meet up for ice cream on Thursday, July 19 at 6:30 PM at the JP Licks on Boylston off of Mass Ave! If the mood strikes, we can head up Newbury Street and sample other ice cream on offer. This will be a weeknight event in Boston proper, counterpart to the Cambridge Weekend Ice Cream Crawl!
Board games. Blue Shirt Cafe in Davis Square.
Sunday the 28th Sunday, June 11th at 2:00 PM. You know the drill, and if you don't know it, we'll be happy to teach it to you. Bring any games you'd like to play, and don't worry too much about winning or losing. [more inside]
The Brattle Theater in Cambridge is playing a series of David Lynch movies from Monday, February 23rd to Thursday, March 5th. Anyone want to go see one of them? I'm interested in Dune and Blue Velvet, since those are playing on the weekend, but would be up for pretty much anything in the series. EDIT: We're going to see Dune on Friday the 27th. I'd rather go at 7:00, but if outvoted, 9:30 is also fine.
Well you will if you show up at Joe Sent Me, Wednesday at 7:30pm for Geeks Who Drink. Can we make it another Tater sweep?
The Brattle Theater has a really good set of movies coming up this Sunday, 2014/9/14: Sunset Boulevard at 1:00, Chinatown at 3:15 (these two can be seen as a double feature), Los Angeles Plays Itself at 6:00, and Repo Man at 9:30. Does anyone want to go see any of these movies in particular? I saw that Los Angeles Plays Itself was scheduled and was primarily interested in that, but I'd be happy seeing any of these, really. If you want to go, leave a comment saying what movie you'd like to see! EDIT: We're seeing Los Angeles Plays Itself at 6:00 on Sunday. See you all there!
Drink some beer (or other beverage of your choice) in Harvard Square. [more inside]
We're holding a board-and-card-games meetup at backseatpilot's house at 1:00 p.m. on September 22! The given address is not backseatpilot's: If you're coming, MeMail him your RSVP by Wednesday the 18th and he'll send back the location. If you have beginner-to-mid-level games to bring (something not totally impossible to teach to new players), feel free to bring them. [more inside]
