Board games. Blue Shirt Cafe in Davis Square. Sunday the 28th Sunday, June 11th at 2:00 PM. You know the drill, and if you don't know it, we'll be happy to teach it to you. Bring any games you'd like to play, and don't worry too much about winning or losing.
As always, I expect to bring Cosmic Encounter, El Grande, and a few decks of cards. I think I'll also bring Acquire, a great older game that's like a cross between Monopoly and Scrabble. Cosmic Encounter is really pretty simple, but I explained it badly the first time I brought it. Fortunately, the board-gaming site Shut Up and Sit Down has produced a video of play which helps explain how the game works. Tom Vasel's review of the game sells it pretty well, too.

I'd say there's about a 50% chance I can make it Sunday. I'll be more readily available in a week or two so my vote is for postponing.
