Sun April 22 at 12:00 PM, Crown Bakery
5409 Georgia Ave NW, Washington, DC, USA (Map & Directions)
Um, did someone say "all you can eat and drink"? Inspired by Washington City Paper's celebration of DC's rich Trinidadian heritage, we're headed to Crown Bakery in Brightwood Park, DC, for Sunday brunch on the 22nd. (I was going to say we're heading to Trinidad, but that's an actual place in DC and I endeavor to eliminate confusion!) Is Kennedy St. really the new Upshur St.? Join us and find out!
On getting there: the restaurant is well-served by several bus lines, including the 52/54 from downtown DC or Takoma, and the 70/79 from the Georgia Ave metro station or Silver Spring. Or a brisk 25-minute walk from the Georgia Ave metro if the weather's nice.

An extra special request: please confirm your RSVP by midweek the week of the 16th so that I can make a reservation. The place is small and will likely fill up fast.

With all the daycares (including ours), Kennedy Street is already the place to be for the under-five set.

(PS Further on getting there, Kennedy + Georgia is also on the E4 crosstown line from Friendship Heights and Ft Totten stations.)

SugarAndSass and I will make it. This is well-within walking distance of our house, so yay to convenience and an excuse to go to a new restaurant.

(It’s under Alexa or possibly Eliza, I’m not sure how well they could hear me.)
