My sister Tess Martin (MeFi's own) is launching her new non-profit arts booster organization this Friday: Haptic Animation Amplifier. She's curated a Pacific Northwest Animation Showcase at the NorthWest Film Forum on Capitol Hill this week, and on Friday the animation fun will culminate with her launch party at 6 PM. This event is free and open to the public and will feature fun animation stations for adults to get their artistic and silly groove on. Libations available. [more inside]

A client and friend of mine has a documentary premiere in STIFF (Seattle's True Independent Film Festival or Seattle's Transmedia and Independent Film Festival) on May 7 at Grand Illusion Cinema. The film is 'Witness Bahrain', about the Arab Spring. I'll be there and the director, Jen Marlowe, will be there for Q&A after the film. Would love for mefites to join us. Link to buy tickets.
