Fri October 2 at 6:00 PM, Northwest Film Forum
1515 12th Ave, Seattle, WA, USA (Map & Directions)
My sister Tess Martin (MeFi's own) is launching her new non-profit arts booster organization this Friday: Haptic Animation Amplifier. She's curated a Pacific Northwest Animation Showcase at the NorthWest Film Forum on Capitol Hill this week, and on Friday the animation fun will culminate with her launch party at 6 PM. This event is free and open to the public and will feature fun animation stations for adults to get their artistic and silly groove on. Libations available.
At 7:30 the party will be followed by a screening of a new Bruce Bickford film (he made some famous stop-motion animation films for Frank Zappa) - tickets required.

Here's some coverage she got in the Seattle Weekly today.

This should be fun! This is also probably the only adult-type outing I will manage to attend in the next month! So it would be awesome if some other MeFites would come out and hang and do fun animation stuff!

Oh man. But for the MeFi campout at Lake Wenatchee this weekend, I'd be all over this.

Sounds neat, but I'll be down in the Bay for APE. Have fun!

I actually had plans to be here tomorrow, but I'm too shy and scared of people to meet up! I guess I'm posting to say cool, I didn't know your sister is Tess Martin, and this should be fun.

Well, fellow shy people, I will be the female person carrying a bag with orange flowers, with short brown hair, who looks unusually like the hostess....
