Hi! My band, the VelAff, is participating in a benefit show at Reggie's on May 16.
The show is a benefit for Justin, a bartender at The Sovereign at Granville and Broadway. He was stabbed/mugged and Reggie's is putting on a benefit to help cover medical costs.

Cover is $8, but it goes towards a good cause!

P.S. I am the mefite formerly known as baxter_ilion, if that makes a difference...

Like the idea of a benefit for a local bartender, but getting down to the south side on a weeknight is a tough sell. Best I can do is a Maybe.

Hey weird we were actually asked to play this, but we're already booked at a benefit for the same dude that Friday at Morseland. Justin's been a friend of ours for years.

kaz, I think there have been a few benefits for Justin, and will probably be more. So, no pressure on that front for making it.

eviscerator - that's weird that you were potentially going to play this show. We ended up taking another band's spot when one of their members got sick. Random.
