Food Depository repack -- June

Sat June 3 at 1:00 PM, Greater Chicago Food Depository
4100 W Ann Lurie Pl, Chicago, IL, USA (Map & Directions)
Let's get together and help the food depository in their warehouse.
** NEW ** I reserved a group space for us, so you might not have to be super speedy to register at this link. If that doesn't work, go to this link and navigate to the 6/3/2017 date, and select the 1:00 - 3:45 section. You'll have to create a volunteer account with them to register.

If you need a ride, post below and we'll make it happen.

And we should try harder to do lunch before hand, but we'll arrange that below too.

Thanks for setting this up again! I would appreciate a ride if anyone is driving down from the north side.

If anyone is in or near Logan, I have room in my car.

hm. I got both "group full" and -1 slots available. It's in my calendar anyway, though.

If you follow the 2nd link, crush, they still have slots available.

as we've learned in the past (thanks Denail!) you can still come if you aren't registered. if you get there on time, they'll probably try to get you to register there. If you get there late again like I keep on doing, you can sneak in with the group, and stealthily volunteer without the Man tracking it.

I'll be in town from the 29th to the 5th, but I'm going to u2 that night(and a preshow thing beforehand) and don't think that I can make this.

This is this week. time to figure out how to deal with your double and tripple bookings to save the world / hide from it's destruction!

Sorry, I'm going to have to pass this time.

The Ashland Rocket will be heading down to the Chicago March for Truth for a 10:45am arrival, then departing no later than 12:30pm for the GCFD. Following, we'll be headed out to Palantine to see Jan Schakowsky speak at an open town hall meeting. Then... who knows?

I claim a seat in the rocket. Please. Thank you.

I would also like a seat in the Rocket. Will we meet up near the Belmont stop again, or meet up downtown and count on being able to find each other by 12:30?

We can figure out return trip stuff later, but I can't join you on the Palatine trip - I'm hoping to end up at the 606 just north of Humboldt Park to see a friend perform as part of the 606 block party. I would love to get dropped off somewhere in that direction, or near a public transit stop I can use to get me there.

jessypie, i could drop you off at the 606 on my way back up to Logan after the food depository if you'd like!

That would be really helpful, kaz, thank you!

I'd like a ride too, he says at the last possible minute almost.

I'll pick Mike up at 10:15, jessypie at Belmont at 10:30, and crush shortly thereafter. Parking will be at 318 S Federal St, so if we get separated somehow just be there on the sidewalk by 12:30pm for a ride to GCFD.

Just a quick reminder: no shorts allowed at GCFD, and your shirt must have sleeves!

I was super early so I went to Mike's but now I'm worried I may have screwed up the plan, if so let me know and I can meet you downtown instead!

this went off great again. Thanks for coming out to these guys.

Eamon is going to setup next month's volunteering. In August, I think we want to stay away from the warehouse, based on the temperature this last time. How about we pack lunches for inspiration kitchen?

As always, thanks so much for coordinating this, garlic! I always have a great time volunteering with all of you and look forward to whatever we end up doing in July and August.
