Washington, DC - come out come out wherever you are

Hi all. We moved to DC at the beginning of December and although I've already met a few of the area's fine MeFites, I'd like to meet more. My own special snowflakeness: I have a toddler and my significant other comes home late, so weekends are best. Otherwise, what works for others?

I'm not sure what you're asking here. Could you narrow it down a bit? Are you thinking a snowball fight or a bowling night? A film fest or a protest?

Saturday night beers sound good to me (as well as pretty traditional, to boot).

I coordinate this dealie. We're nice and don't bite! We meet usually every other Wednesday at 8P at a local watering hole or some such - we're doing one Wednesday the 19th at 8P at Adega in Silver Spring. You can check out the website to find out more. We're always open to suggestions for new places to go, too - I literally polled the members a few weeks ago and "different place every week" beat out all other suggestions by a huge margin. Just wanted to say that I am in, in general, for some sort of Meetup but I am also a pain in the ass about scheduling...so I'll just keep an eye on this and chime in when y'all come up with something.

Meeting at a bar is most common, but it really depends on who's organizing and their preferences. What would work best for you? Can you name a date and time a week or so from now?

On Sunday, Feb. 6, I'll be taking a ukulele class at The Fridge. From what I understand, this will then lead to an on-stage performance backing up the Sweater Set on Feb. 14, also at The Fridge. I hope it will be cool. I think it will be.
