Who'd like to meet up in DC?

DC, I'm coming to town! Who would like to meet up for dinner and drinks?
I'll be in town 18-23 October and would love to meet up with some locals for food and drinks. I'll be at a conference near DuPont Circle, and I believe my meetings should be finished by 5:00 every day. Anyone interested in grabbing dinner midweek, maybe Wednesday or Thursday? I am a fan of all food and drink.
I'm around then and mid-week dinner should work out fine. Science Club is where we often go in Dupont, but more folks might be able to come if we go somewhere nearer downtown around Chinatown/Penn Quarter/Metro Center.

I don't mind traveling a little bit - my hotel's in Pentagon City, so anything on the Blue or Yellow lines is fine with me.

Yes this is very exciting! I'm always down for stuff around U Street because I think a lot of us live in or near Columbia Heights (and Bulgaroktonos and I work near U Street as well) so it's pretty convenient and U Street is also on the Yellow line but I respect that this might not actually be best for everyone and we're happy to be flexible (well, I mean, WILLING to be flexible, at least. Begrudgingly.).

Maybe. I'm out of town that weekend and Monday, so staying out after work may not play well at home since I was just out for a few days.

And most importantly, U St is where a lot of delicious Ethiopian food is (I'm partial to Etete but it's hard to go too wrong in my experience) and since we have more Ethiopians than anywhere but Ethiopia it's basically a local cuisine.
I take the toddler to swim classes on Wed nights so that's no go for me but I can presumably get my wife to give me the night off on a Thursday with notice.

Thursday's good for me - anyone have thoughts about a restaurant for dinner? Science Club looks neat, but the menu doesn't look like they have a ton of food options.

Both Wednesday & Thursday work for me as well as long things are still happening at, like, 8, which doesn't seem like an unreasonable expectation.
What about DC Reynolds or Looking Glass Lounge? Both are on the Yellow Line (Georgia Ave-Petworth stop), have food, and probably won't be jam packed on a weeknight. Bonus, DCR has BOGO happy hour until 9.

Just wanted to check in and see if we've made any final decisions -- it sounds like we'll be doing Thursday probably, yes? Place and time? I think St Ex sounds okay (the only problem is that it's more of a sit-down restaurant and last time we ended up needing to split up into two different tables) and I'm always up for Looking Glass although again we'd probably need to split up because it's all booths, right?

Markoff's Haunted Forest. It's a delightful path through the woods with spooky atmospheric music, people jumping out at you with fake chainsaws, etc.

I'm going to leave my hotel in Pentagon City in about ten minutes, and it should take me a half hour or so to get there, I think.

Fantastic! We'll start walking over in just a couple of minutes. I am wearing a blue shirt and a black skirt and Bulgaroktonos is wearing a light blue shirt and jeans. We are both of average height with dark hair. If you aren't sure, just wander up to strangers and ask "Excuse me...are you from the internet?" and you'll figure out who we are by finding the two people watching you and giggling uproariously like moronic twelve-year-olds.
