Dear locals, please join me for the next meetup at Oakland's New Parkway Theater for a showing of Airplane!, a classic comedy from 1980. Don't like movies? No worries! Buy a drink, get some food, and just hang out with fellow MeFites between 8 pm and 9:30, when the movie starts.
As blockbuster movie nights sometimes sell out, you may want to buy your ticket in advance. Give me a shout if Thursdays suck for you and we'll try a Friday night next time.
This is all fine and good, but when will the Parkway get some movies about gladiators?

Hmmmm...I live in Oakland. And I don't have a show that night. So maybe? I haven't actually seen Airplane!, so I suppose I ought to get on with my pop culture education.

Hey folks, a reminder that The New Parkway has food and beverages. Also, classic movies sometimes sell out in advance. I'm not sure I'll actually stick around for the movie itself (it's a school night!) but I will be there at 8 pm until when the movie starts at 9:30 to meet 'n' greet any MeFites who make an appearance.
