Sun July 26 at 3:00 PM, The Loyal Legion
705 Southeast 6th Avenue, Portland, OR, USA (Map & Directions)
For another meetup....
The Loyal Legion it is!
err....Now it's the Leisure Public House!
Scratch that....now it's the Loyal Legion again, hopefully for real real.
I've set this for 3:00pm since it seemed like a good time.
AC'd pub sounds good. Next Saturday (11) is out, as is the weekend after (18/19). 12, 25/26th are all doable right now I think. Mayyybe this Sunday as well.

Hey I might go to a thing. I haven't seen anybody in a while.

Okay, so a pub with AC. That should be easily accomplished.
Any suggestions on where?
There is a newish pub out here in Beaverton, for those willing to make the trek out to the burbs. I think the 20 bus passes nearby.

Decent menu. Somewhat limited selection of beers (unless they carry stuff other than their in-house brand, the website doesn't say), but I'd be okay with the porter.

I am a maybe dependent on the weekend. AC is a plus for sure as is good food.

Fireside Grill is very good, although I'm unsure about the AC.
Concerning Brannon's, beer selection is limited to what you see plus a couple seasonal options.

Well, if there's indoor seating there must be air conditioning, right...? Much as I enjoy outdoor seating, the next couple of weeks at least will be warmer than I can endure, shaded or not. There's not a cold enough beer in the world to change that!

They sometimes open the inside to the outside. With extreme heat they may not, but I don't know for sure. The patio is at least shaded.

Fireside is a bit of pinch for large parties as we've found out in the past. There is the Uptown Market on Scholls. I have no idea if they have AC. It's an old grocery store.

The Green Dragon and the Leisure Pub, both places I normally think of as "sit on the patio" bars, have AC according to Barfly.

Leisure Pub looks interesting.
Another thought we had, although it's further out into the 'burbs, is McNally's Taproom. The downside is that it's in Hillsboro, but is about a block from the Hillsboro Central MAX stop.
Also, I think they tend to open up the inside to outside, so it could be hot.

I can vouch for Leisure. It's in my neck of the woods and we go often. Best to pick a time other than a Tuesday evening because it gets packed for trivia.

tsuga makes a very good point. Perhaps we should try something new new.
Who'd be up for giving The Loyal Legion a try?
I'm starting to think that Sunday, July 26th would be a good day.

I don't see why not, since it was the last agreed-upon choice before Tsuga sent us on a wild goose chase.

It would have been open if you hadn't been involved in all of those "incidents" in the neighborhood, Greg.

Just thought I'd point out that although it says "Loyal Legion" in the location box, the address/map is set to Leisure Pub in St. Johns. Potentially confusing...

Janell, yes. I'm going to look through the list of vendors today and see how many are must-see for me. I think nu and I were estimating getting there around 2pm.
