Hey bay area mefites! You may recall my question about visiting in which I expressed interest in going to the Exploratorium after dark. I just bought my plane tickets. Who's in for poking around at the museum on Thursday April 30th?
There's no special programming that night, but the museum is definitely open after hours. Is this the kind of thing where it will be mobbed and I need to buy tickets in advance? What are drink prices like there? (ie, is it ridiculously expensive, such that we might want to head to a cheaper bar after doing museum things?)

April 30th is not one of the After Dark events, although the museum is open late on Thursdays. Getting tickets ahead of time is generally a good idea but probably not required (make sure you get the evening tix). When we've done meetups at the Exploratorium before the biggest challenge was finding everyone else in the crowd, so it's useful to specify a meeting location and keep phones handy for updating location.

Drinks are not cheap, but not hotel bar prices either. There's also food available in the restaurant.

So, is this going to be just one person plus me? Not that I don't want to meet you, cobra_high_tigers, (I'm going to this Exploratorium night no matter what), but would an early Friday dinner be better for others?
