CHIRP's DJ Emily* and myself will be playing music from 10pm - 4am while el Santo fights evil on the projection screen**.
At Late Bar. No cover. Take Thursday 12/2 off from work/school/crime and come have some fun!
Part of the Laurie's Planet of Sound "Mix Tape Meltdown" series.

** I am making a mix of all the fight scenes from the approximately 50 lucha libre movies I have. All killer, no filler. If this does not equal the six hour DJ shift then I'm sure I can find something to pad it out as there's easily 200 lucha DVDs kicking around yes I know I have a problem

I'm about a year removed from a job where I wouldn't get home until 2 or 230am; 4am was my prime hanging-out time then. It's probably a good thing I was taking a break from drinking, or I'm sure I would've spent far too much time at 4am bars. But yeah; Emily has to work the next morning, but as I am retired and on a fixed income I will be rocking out until they kick everyone out (and possibly after; the DJ booth is an easily defensible spot)

Preparations proceed apace for next Wednesday.
In addition, I've been asked to host CHIRP and saki's music trivia night at the Empty Bottle the next evening (December 2). No cover, $2 to join a team, prizes aplenty, FREE BEER for contestants while the game is going on (also for the hosts, I hope).
I'll be DJing at the Whistler the evening after that with DJ Michael Flavor of the Hump Day Dance Party. I'll be the tall and rumpled one, he'll be the much more tall and much less rumpled one.
figured IRL didn't need a spate of me-related posts for next week
