I'll need to be at Birch and Barley at 6:45 for my sister's birthday so if the meetup is near there I could stay 'til early evening for sure! (The link has a map since I am not terribly familiar with how DC geography comes together; looks like it's near McPherson Sq Metro station in the Logan Circle neighborhood.)

I think I am free all Saturday and I am always up for drinking and/or board games! I'm a maybe until we nail down the details but am very optimistic about joining you.

I want to go to there. (But I'm not sure what my schedule will look like...) I'm still new enough to DC that I'm probably not the best person to offer recommendations of places to go, though.

I should be available somewhere around 4:30 or 5. I don't know if Churchkey would be a good place if folks want games, but it's certainly awesome for beer. I'm having a hard time thinking of a good space for games in that area. Logan Tavern, maybe?
It's about a 20-30 minute walk from Dupont to Logan Circle, so the Board Room might be feasible. Someplace like Fox & Hounds would be a bit closer and still probably game friendly.

I'm up for any of those -- Churchkey is often crowded but Bulgaroktonos pointed out that it'll probably be better on a weekend since it's near offices. That said, we could maybe be there until mlle valentine needs to leave and then go somewhere else if we wanted?
Of course, other people may be less happy about Metafilter meetups always going to a second location than I am but other people have probably not tried (and failed!) to post inappropriate proposed meetups on their phones while drunk, so...

I am happy to go someplace game friendly and don't mind a 20 minute (or really any length) walk at all but Churchkey also sounds tasty! Basically, I fail at decisions. Would people be able to come meet me at the Board Room if I had to leave not too long after 6 or is that too early to work?

The timing should be fine for me -- the Board Room is basically on my way home from my prior engagement, there should be plenty of time for me to at least get a drink and chat for a bit.

Don't think I can make it, but as I've mentioned before -- for folks that haven't been to Boardroom, they don't have a kitchen or any food at all, and allow you to bring your own food in. So, keep that in mind if you want food.
And as a separate thought, one place that might be alright for games over on 14th Street is Drafting Table. They have big tables, and it's generally not that crowded, at least during the day in my experience. Good place, too.
