Sat February 1 at 1:00 PM, Board Room
1737 Connecticut Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC, USA (Map & Directions)
Did this holiday season bring you new games you'd like to try out? Or a tragic lack of opportunities to play games that you'd like to make up for? Get your fix at the Board Room in Dupont Circle!
Notes about the venue:
- 21+ but possibly willing to accommodate younger patrons with advance notice
- No kitchen, but will allow outside food brought in/delivered

Wonderful, I'd love to do one of these again! I'm good for all of those dates except 2/22.

I have also been gifted with Scattergories Categories this holiday season which looks intriguing if unusually family-friendly for this group. :)

Any of those look good to me! That's also a long enough timeline that maybe we could do two? I'd be happy to do a higher number of DC meetups.

Just moved here and would love to join y'all. I would be free any of the dates--with a slight preference toward the three in February.

Yes, I think February's probably better, as I realized after posting that it's still football season, so Sunday the 12th will probably be pretty busy.
As far as having multiple meetups, I can't commit to two gaming meetups in February, but I'm happy to make this one the 1st, which leaves plenty of space either this month or next if someone else would like to schedule either a game day or another type of meetup.

I'd be happy for a January meetup and a February one - maybe one gaming, one not? Jan. 12 and February 1 are the better dates for me.

February 9th or 22nd are both good for me! I would love to make this happen. 2014, the year I finally get to a MeFi meetup!

I may have counted wrong?

Well, I've counted four times and come up with different sets of results every time, none of which agree with troika's (yes, I can count; no, I don't know why the ability is failing me this afternoon).
It looks like January 12th is already out of the running, and recent events have made Feb 1st or 9th preferable for me, which seems to generally agree with others' preferences. Using a highly scientific tie-break methodology of counting which date "won" more often in my tallies + troika's, it looks like February 1st makes the stronger showing.
Also, in case you missed it, another gaming meetup is under discussion for this Saturday.

I think we've found Metafilter's Mystery Spot.

Okay, folks, confirming this for the 1st.
I will be accompanied by my board game provider. :-) I know Skwirl wants Transeuropa to make an appearance. Zombie Dice and Are You the Traitor? seem to have gone over well in the past. Dominion is a possibility, but only if people ask for it (it's a bit difficult to transport), so if you'd like it, let me know.
Also, the Board Room is 21+, but has been accommodating of younger attendees, so long as I ask in advance, so please let me know if you (or someone you'd like to bring) are under 21.

We'll have the tables behind the bar on the first floor again. Looking forward to seeing folks on Saturday!

Does Space Team count as a board game? Because I just read about it in a FPP and it looks way more fun than playing trains and I really like playing trains!

Test question: does it have a board?
