Under_petticoat_rule and I will be in Glasgow briefly. We're Americans but don't hold that against us. Come have a pint with us at a pub that comes highly recommended by many sources including the Good Pub Guide (with special awards for beer selection and budget pricing). Tell us all the things we should be seeing in Glasgow!

I realize this is rather last-minute, but I'd love a meetup that involves a pub, various local alcohols and the inevitable good-hearted mocking of each other's accents. Open to suggestions where to go, it'll be my first time in Scotland.

A recent study at the University of Edinburgh has unearthed evidence of a settlement somewhere to the west of Costorphine. As a keen anthropologist, I was hoping to visit this historic site. I was wondering if any other mefites would be interested in coming along ? [more inside]

Hello, you wonderful glaswegian mefites - i was thinking of coming over ( if the m8 isnt shut) to partake of some culture (paul hill 3pm at streetlevel) and i thought no visit to glasgow is complete with seeing your mefitenesses and some steakbakes from the greggs near central station. Although I do propose the greggs at central station as an initial venue - I'm open to changing it - this is for saturday btw.
