Dyke March, anybody?

Pride is this weekend, and kicks off (for me) with the Dyke March on Saturday. Wanna picnic in Dolores Park?
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of marching, which is more like strolling, and hurts my back and makes me annoyed when lots of people bump into me. But I love the people-watching in Dolores Park beforehand, and seeing Dykes on Bikes take off at the start of the march. Anybody want to come sit on a blanket with me? (And just me, sad to say, as gingerbeer will be out of town this weekend.)
How late do you think you'll stay? I might be going to the baseball game in the early afternoon.

I would totally join you there, but I'll be in class all day (literally, from 10 to 6). My lovely wife, Halima, may join you however, and she'll probably bring a few friends along if she does.

Planning on getting there about 3 pm and staying through step-off (er, Dykes on Bikes ride-off) at 7pm-ish, then strolling a few blocks, and then doing something else besides marching to Market and Castro.

I'd totally be up for it -- I DO NOT COME TO ENOUGH MEETUPS and a blanket in Dolores Park sounds heavenly -- but at that point I will be picking my dad up at the airport and driving him southward.

I'm going to try for a spot up on the hill, (south of 19th st.), sort of on the same....latitude as the bathrooms, but not too near them. Also not too near the speaker tower - we were too close last year and goddamn it was loud. If nothing else, I'll take a picture of my view and post the link to it here, so you might be able to kind of tell where I am. The blanket will likely be a Giants blanket, so look for orange.

Bacon jam, eh? I was actually just gonna pop in and ask if we should bring nibbles, or if this was a thing where it would really be too crowded to enjoy al fresco snacking.

Alas, it looks like the Boy and I won't be able to make it. What started as "do a little laundry" quickly devolved into a long overdue Domestic Thunderdome that's getting worse before it gets better. It's way (way way way) less fun than seeing y'all, but I do look forward to the eventual household chaos reduction.

Holy crap they moved the stage. Oy. I've made an executive decision and have not waded through that crowd to find a spot.
Go up the center path of the park (from 19th st). When you get to the circle with the palm tree in the middle, look left (southwest-ish).
