Oh to be in England

The Whelk is on a rolling business trip of Northern England and environs and would like to grab a beer with some awesome English Mefites. I'll be in Manchester May 29th through 31st, York on June 1st, Leeds on June 3rd, Sheffield June 5th, Notthingham June 7th, Liverpool on June 9th through the 11th and the London June 12th and 13th. What's the best for everyone? I'd imagine something in Manchester or London.

The IRL format requires a specific city, and my preference is for London or Manchester, cause I'll be sounding more then one night there.

I had tentative plans on June 1st (York), but I can happily rearrange them if you'd like to meet up at a pub that night!

Yay meetups! I live in Leeds but can't do Friday, but I can do tomorrow or Tuesday in Manchester, or probably York on Wednesday. Whichever suits, really. There are quite a few meetup-active folk in the north so hopefully some of those would be able to make it too.

I'm pretty much going to be trapped in the walled-up bits of York that day, iamkimiam, but would love to meet you if it isn't too much trouble on your half.

Thoughtless, I think Manchester may end up working out well for everyone, but I'm penciling in the York one now. I need to fill out my Mefite bingo card sumthing.

I can attest to the fact that if you plan a meetup and you're the only one who attends besides The Whelk and his gracious travelling companion, you are in for a treat. He's even better in real life, and achieves meetup quorum on his own just by showing up.

Okay I'm finally settled in in Manchester ( I got lost and ended up in Liverpool prematurely)

For Manchester let's say tomorrow night, central or walkable from there? I defer to the Locals to decide.

No problem, see you then. (I'm in Manchester in the afternoon anyway so will be hanging around from then, and hence prob at the pub v early; I'll amuse myself with a pint and a book.)

Tits. I totally missed this. I am in Sheffield and will more than likely be allowed off the leash on the 5th for a few hours. If your Whelkness is free I would happily trot along.
