Metafilter - Holiday San Francisco Meetup

Wondering if folks would like to do an in-person meetup in San Francisco, some folks from the near future lab are already interested? I'd propose Destapas in the Mission as the local and sometime in early December as a potential Data

oh, perhaps! I'm on the road until ~Dec 12th, but could potentially meet up after that.

Destapas looks pretty good - I'm assuming it gets crowded weekend evenings.

Just to get things moving, here's a couple concrete suggestions. (Feel free to suggest other things, anybody; I'm around until mid-to-late December)

Proposal 1: Saturday, Dec 2, 2pm

Proposal 2: Thursday, Dec 7, 6pm (or 7pm or whatever. people arrive when they arrive)

I'll try to wear something orange too. (Bizarrely, that's exactly what I did seventeen years ago for my very first meetup.)

I don't think we can add details and move this to "upcoming" -- that has to be specialk420. But those of you who prefer the 7th or a later date should do that too!

Tangerine and I went and met up and then left. I'm up for more meetings up on another day though! However, I will say that Destapas felt a bit more restauranty and a bit less "hang out for hours while people join and leave the group" than would be idea for a larger metafilter meetup.
