This week's weekly meetup will be a special edition, the third in our suburban comfort food series. Previous editions have been Red Lobster and Dairy Queen.
So have you heard? Denny's is in Manhattan. And they're serving $300 breakfasts. For those of us who aren't high rollers in the financial district, they serve regular cocktails beginning at $11, giving the term Old Fashioned Grand Slam a new meaning. Don your fancy duds* and join us!

I am strangely excited about this! I might be a little late--have a meeting that could go 'til 6:30, but it may end sooner.

Um, it is not strange to be excited about this - it is going to be awesome! I changed the time to 7:15 to give everyone, including self, a little more cushion.

I work just a few blocks away from Denny's so am planning on being there, but will be killing time in Midtown Comics (64 Fulton St.) for an hour and a half or so before heading over. So if you're in the area before 7pm and see this, feel free to come join me! Or text me; my number is 3175zero48824.

Hi naturalog, I'll be there in less than 10 minutes and I'll look for you. I'm wearing a patchwork jacket and a messenger bag. Generally I just find likely looking people and say, "Metafilter?" Never guessed wrong yet.
