I want to eat at Red Lobster.
This question a few months ago about Red Lobster stirred up a lot of things in me: Mild outrage, as I read the disdain for a restaurant that for some people, particularly people of limited means, actually represents a nice evening out; curiosity and introspection, as I thought about how class shapes our tastes and influences; an irrepressible desire for cheesy biscuits, as I read the title "Even the biscuits are gross."

So I want to go to Red Lobster. Please note that this is not a Guy Fieri type thing. If you wish to enjoy Red Lobster ironically please propose a separate meet-up. This is for people who genuinely love cheesy biscuits.

I'll be in town that day...if I can come, it will only be to say HI!, not to eat as I am not 100% sure of my schedule for that day, but it would be cool to drop by.

I am changing this to 2:30pm so I can attend something else in the evening. Since there are, so far, only two other people coming, I figure this won't be a huge problem.

I'll try for 2:30, but as I have a class that lets out at 1:00ish, I may be a little late. I'm told there's usually a wait for that Red Lobster, but would it be an issue if I am late? Like, logistics wise?

Hmm, I didn't think about a wait. Do I have to make a reservation for Red Lobster?! I will call today to see if they even do that. Otherwise, I wouldn't have to know until the day of so I can be sure to ask for the appropriate table size when I get there.

I don't know about reservations, but the reviews on Yelp keep saying that there's usually a wait of at least 30 minutes to be seated. I'm not sure how the size of the party would affect that.

They don't take reservations. The woman said Sunday is really variable in terms of crowds. I will show up by 2pm at the latest to put a name in for a table in case there is a wait. So please let me know by 2pm tomorrow if you plan to attend.
