Let's go see mefi's own jscalzi read from his new novel, Lock In, at San Francisco's terrific Borderlands Books.
The reading is at 3 pm. We can do something before and/or after. We could go to frjtz! /dontkillme

I don't know that I'll be able to make it to the actual reading, but if we do something after (say, 5-6ish) I can probably come to that.

I would absolutely love to go to this, and maybe to the Kubrick exhibit afterwards?
(Or we can have a MeFi Kubrick Trip at a later date, the show is running for the rest of the month)

I'm gonna go ahead and say, why the hell not frjtz after the reading! The frjtz at 17th and Valencia, so convenient!
Also, we should try to take at least one group shot of everyone flipping the bird, because ColdChef has announced this is what he wants for his birthday: Pictures of people giving him the finger. And who are we to deny him this wish?

I have no idea what I'll be wearing but I will try to update the thread and hope it's something slightly less generic than "jeans, a t-shirt." If you poke around in older SF meetup threads I know photos have been posted...

ausdemfenster and I went to La Rondalla across the street and just south of 20th for a drink and to cool off. Others can join us and/or we plan to meet up once people start moving again!
