Dinner with Snarl!

Hello, all, I am new to the Bay Area, am going to be in San Francisco this Friday (Dec. 7) and I would love to meet all of you over dinner! We're meeting at Frjtz at 6.
I am going to be in the general vicinity of the 16th St. BART station, and I was thinking of an early-ish dinner in case people have other evening plans? Maybe someplace like Mozzeria around 6? I am entirely open to suggestions and will bend to the will of the community on the best inexpensive dinner location!
ETA 12/6: Okay, I'm officially decreeing- Frjtz at 6 on Friday (tomorrow!) (bc Mozzeria is booked, sad face). Someone wear a Metafilter shirt! Or just look for me, I will be the short round lady wearing a pink scarf.

Ahhh, I forgot about this for a couple days!
I think we're not doing anything, and since a place has already been proposed (something I suck at), sounds good to me! If Mozzeria is too small/too crowded/not Frjtz enough, I'm sure we can find something else nearby, since 16th and Mission has lots of options.
Now I will go remind gingerbeer about this.

I am a maybe. Holiday parties and whatnot are starting to pile up, so it'll mostly depend on if I've reached Other People saturation or not. But I've heard good things about Mozzeria, and if there's anything that will lure me out it's delicious pizza.

Okay, in moving this to confirmed I found out Mozzeria is booked, so Frjtz at 6! Like it says up there, look for the short round lady wearing a pink scarf. But also some of you know each other already so you should be able to find each other! Yay!

Hey, does anybody want any persimmons (Fuyus)? My co-worker with the overabundant persimmon tree just came by my office with a bagful, and I refused (we still have some from the last time she gave me a bunch), but I'm pretty sure she hasn't managed to foist them on anyone else quite yet.

That weirded me out, as I'm currently trying to learn Icelandic. I was thinking that these words *look* like words I should know, but I don't know them at all! In other words (heh), am I doomed?
Now I realize that I needed to think in terms of fries and beer and language tapes in bathrooms and all would be perfectly clear to me.

Miss you too. Sorry about the lack of pix. They've installed some sort of disco-lighting scheme and I meant to take a picture but then got distracted by conversation and beer and frjtz. They also have a big photo mural thing on the wall that's a riff on the Last Supper, with cones of fries.
