Bummer. I'll be out of town.

I will be there, as will rtha. We will bring guests, although more than the handy rsvp tool allows. Is is assumed that mefites have no more than two friends? Or that we won't be able to drag more than two friends to a Metafilter meetup?

Yeah, srsly. Does mathowie think that we can't have more than two IRL friends? wtf.

I will definitely be a late arrival. But I know what most of you look like, so you won't be able to hide for too long.

The lecture is about poisons and toxins and promises gory slides. Shall we go?

So I've made myself a +1, since we're bringing a total of three (non-mefite!) people with us, and the drop-down only lets you bring a maximum of two, and there's no option for bringing a fraction of a guest.

I'll be there for sure, with either my friend who volunteers at the Academy, my boyfriend, or both! We will try to make it in time for the lecture--who doesn't love a good chat about poisons?

Apparently the lecture is sold out.

shoot. Did we have to get separate tickets for that?

I've convinced my charming wife to accompany me to the museum this evening.

Looking forward to it!

We're bringing a whole set of non-internet friends (a strange concept, I know.) It does seem like one needs to get separate tickets for the lecture, and that it's sold out. The planetarium is first-come, though, as I recall, and you just need to pick up a badge for it. Being early helps.

I'm sitting down outside, to the right of the entrance, with special k.

Aww, hi everyone. I had a surprise interview for three hours this afternoon; I was wiped out so I came home and ate junk food. Say hi to science for me!

We've headed inside.

We are here. At the back bar, getting drinks.

What is the nettiquette with IRL? Do I have to flounce in both threads? Either way, I have a flight in 12 hours and a host of errands undone.

I still love you guys, even if my attendance implies otherwise.

As we were wandering around the Extreme Mammals exhibit, special-k & I mentioned this whale-eating whale illustration, & I just realized I hadn't passed the link along & that I needed to correct that oversight so you can bask in its awesomeness.
