Sun August 5 at 8:30 PM, Chabot Space and Science Center
10000 Skyline Blvd, Oakland, CA, USA (Map & Directions)
The Chabot Space and Science Center is showing the Curiosity Landing tonight. I missed out on tickets to NASA Ames, but I think this is the next best place to watch.
You can't buy tickets online or by phone, despite what the event page says, because Chabot's automated ticket system is down, but you can buy them in person. I just called and they're only at 25% capacity as of 7pm. Seating is first-come, first-served and they will be opening another one of their halls at 8:30, so showing up then would likely get us a group of seats.

The landing is at 10:31pm Pacific, and I intend to show up to watch it while surrounded by nerds. Would any of you like to join me? Reply with a yea and I'll PM you my number.
