Solar eclipse viewing for Exploratorium members and friends

Do we have enough astronomy buffs and Exploratorium members to enjoy the partial solar eclipse on the evening of Sunday, May 20th at the Members Appreciation Night shindig? Members can usually bring guests (depending on the level of membership), so buddying up with a member would work for those who aren't members themselves.
Activities: costume contest, complimentary meal with beer and wine, music, dancing, and a partial solar eclipse! 6 - 9 pm at the Exploratorium in San Francisco.

Hmm, sure hope some more Exploratorium members show up. Also, I should mention that I'd like to get a ride from whoever's my guest, so that might not work for some people.

I was about to say that if more members turn up to sponsor people I'd love go to too, but then it sank in that I'll be running Bay to Breakers that same day. So instead I'll be back down at my end of the peninsula, all sacked out and missing yet another meetup.

I would love to go to this, but my wife and I will be running Bay to Breakers that day and will more than likely to be too tired/drunk to go anywhere. Sounds like a good time though - have fun!

Sacked out here too. Blew a weekend's worth of energy at Maker Faire yesterday. Who the hell scheduled Bay to Breakers, Maker Faire, and an eclipse to land on the same day?

Thank you Quietgal for alerting and inviting. The view through the welder's mask, trees, hands, pinholes and special glasses were breathtaking... It was a shame we didn't have longer inside after the long line for dinner!!!
