This Monday is an every-other-Monday, so we'll be gathering at Tommy Doyle's in Harvard Square at 7:30-8 PM for Geeks Who Drink Pub Trivia! I am posting as your designated alternate Horace Rumpole.
Anybody know what iteration of Taters n: The Movie Subtitle this will be?

Unfortunately, my class this semester is Monday evenings. It gets out at 7:30, though, so I might be able to make it if I'm still awake after.

Six. You're running out of sequels.

If you aren't dead-tired, you should definitely come by, backseatpilot. We could use you on those music rounds!

Hmm, that would make this Taters VI: The Undiscovered Country, wouldn't it?

What does God want with a Taters?

What does God want with a Taters?

That's from V (The Final Frontier). The appropriate VI quote would be something like "You have not experienced taters until you've had them in the original Klingon."

Gosh, right. Handing in my nerd card now.

Anyway, if I bike to class I can just come straight to trivia and be there mostly on-time. If the weather's bad and I have to take the T, probably won't get there until 9 at least.

Probably too late for most of you, but this week's email question and topics:
Monday, September 12th, 2011

Yes, you read that correctly. Tonight is a really grood quiz. Confused by grood? It's means it's both great and good, like the round we have in store for you. While we'd like to take credit for inventing the portmanteau, we didn't. The internet beat us to it. If you can identify the teen girl squad member who did, you probably spend just enough time on the internet to be ready for tonight's quiz. SOO GROOD.

Birthday math: As of today, Jennifer Hudson + Emmy Rossum = What dude who is Skeet Ulrich's uncle?

Write your name and answer to this question down on a scrap of paper and turn it into your quizmaster by the end of round 6 and you may just win a sweet prize. Don't tell the answers to your buddy, you're the one doing all the google-fu!

Tonight's Themes Include:

Four-String Favorites
God Movies
Good and Great
Long Players
...and The Really Wide World of Sports

Second place finish for the skeleton crew Taters VI: ______ (i forget the name?).... Woo woo! We'd been leading most of the way but were overcome at the end. Stupid Charlie Wilson and his stupid war.
