Vespabelle's Sixth annual solstice shindig! A night to celebrate the return of the light while eating delicious foods from the North.
It's been a pretty light winter so far, but we can never be sure it won't keep getting darker. So we must fight the darkness and celebrate light!
I'm switching it up this year and having a party on Saturday night rather than Sunday brunch.
I'll have the usual meatballs, DIY Danish open-faced sandwiches, aquavit and other Nordic delights. It won't be a sit down dinner party, but there should be plenty of food so come hungry!
I'll have some drinks (aquavit of course) but BYOB is always appreciated.

Hmm... Just got ahold of a copy of my Nana's Fattigmann recipe. Maybe I'll give it a try.

Meatballs go! picking up herring! there are butter cookies! and the ever-streaming fireplace from netflix on the laptop!
