"Best Bar Game of 2015" brought to you by our friends at Trivia Mafia every Saturday night at the 331 Club in Northeast and every 4th Friday at Amsterdam.
Proposed: either next Saturday, Nov. 7, at 331 or Friday, Nov. 27 at Amsterdam (for a break from Black Friday madness)

Oh also, the bday party is in NE Mpls, pretty close to 331, so if it is on Saturday I still might be able to go to both, depending on the times.

My vote is 331 on the 7th. Amsterdam has been very good to us, but it's good to expand horizons!

The spelling bee starts at 7:00. Ticket sales open at 6:30 but you can also buy in advance. Will that work with your party? If not we can try the 14th or 21st instead.

I just texted my friend to get confirmation on the day/time and I'll post here when he gets back to me. Don't change the date for me though - do whatever works best for the group and I'll do my best to fit it in if I have another thing the same night (though other than the movie meetup in a few weeks and the possible bday next weekend, I think my upcoming Saturdays are mostly free. Fridays almost always work).

Also, just realized this is an actual spelling bee and therefore my chance to overcome the crushing defeat of the third grade spelling bee, in which I was third runner-up and got knocked out of going to the next round by the word "lieutenant". It has haunted me ever since.

This sounds great! Time to put my spelling-Nazi skills to good use booze. I might be in trouble if they don't accept British English spellings though...

Okay! My friend FINALLY texted me back with the time for the bday dinner and it's not until later. So I will be able to come to the spelling bee for a couple of hours, yay! I think I'll get there early because the actual start time is 7. So I will aim for 6:15-6:30 to get a decent seat.
