I vote for meeting at a restaurant rather than the GwD quiz on the grounds that it allows for more interaction and less distraction. Lucy's 'cause (a) it's awesome (b) it works well for groups. Open to other location suggestions, of course.
Luke's coming down from The Woodlands, so please factor that in to suggested locations.

I teach on Tuesdays, but could probably be there by 7. Wednesday is open. I tend to agree with Runes that it's easier to visit at a restaurant, but I'm good with the will of the people.

Got another "I vote for Lucy's but I"ll go to whatever is decided" vote in email. If anyone ever claims that Houstonians aren't flexible we need only point them to this discussion, which is largely "I'll do whatever the group wants to do!"... :-)

Either Tuesday or Wednesday is fine with me. I think I *slightly* prefer the Geeks Who Drink quiz night, but I'm flexible too, since I'm from Texas :-)

What are the hours for the quiz night?

I just remembered I have a commitment on Wednesday. And since I organized it, I have to go to that. But it doesn't start until around 10 pm, so I could hang out until then.

I'll be in town for a conference, what convenience! I'm not sure if I'll be doing any hob-nobbing with fellow conferenceers, and I'll be staying with family, so I'm listing myself as a Maybe+1 for either night.

Typically goes to about 10 pm.

Runes - Do you want to make an executive decision on date and place? I'd be happy with either date or place, but I'd like to know today if possible because I'm also trying to squeeze in visits to see cousins and a friend in the hospital. Thanks!

BTW, I didn't specify the lounge area or the tables, so I suspect they'll put us at a table. Shall I call back and request the lounge? Eating is a little more challenging since you're sitting on sofa's around a knee table, vs a regular table and chairs. On the flip side, it's more convivial.
