Sun March 3 at 2:30 PM, Portland Art Museum, Whitsell Auditorium
1219 Southwest Park Avenue, Portland, OR, USA (Map & Directions)
The 2012 British Arrow Awards (formerly the British Television Advertising Awards) are screening this weekend. Let's go!
March 2nd and 3rd at Whitsell Auditorium, on the PSU campus. Tickets are $10 in advance; $9 at the door.

NW Film Center has this blurb about the show:
This annual juried survey (36th edition), formerly called the British Television Advertising Awards, never fails to deliver an entertaining mix of commercial creativity of the highest order. Drawn from submissions across the UK’s multimedia advertising platforms—from traditional broadcast and cinema to new online mediums—trademark British wit and gleeful innovation shine through. Whether touching drama or high-tech dazzle, low-budget invention or mind-boggling production, this eclectic collection of prizewinners do have something in common: they are all delightfully short and inspired. Included in the mix (not aired in the U.S.) are gems produced by Wieden+Kennedy’s London office. Thanks to the British Arrows, London, for this creative crash course on the marriage of advertising and film, art and commerce. (75 mins.)
Updated to Sunday, 3/3 at 2:30pm. Tickets available here if you'd like to preorder.

I am totally interested in this, and would love to go. I'd vote for 7pm Saturday, or either one of the Sunday options.

Sweet! So Sunday tentatively? I'm gonna leave it open for a bit longer in case others want to chime in.

Updated to the 2:30 showing. I'm flexible if you'd prefer the 4:30 though; lmk. :)

A listing of the awards is online here, and a YouTube playlist of most of the 2012 ads is here. (Here's 2011!)

The playlist is missing this ad for Chrome featuring the It Gets Better project.
